Falkirk boss John Hughes is keen to re-sign Sunderland midfielder Arnau Riera.

"At the end of the season I said to Arnau that I wanted to keep him at the club," he said. "He knew he had to make his mind up if he wanted to stay so I knew what to do with my budget.

"His plans were then to go back to Spain but I don't think that worked out for him.

"He is the kind of player I want at my club, but it comes down to money."
