Falkirk loan keeper Flinders considers his future

Falkirk stopper Scott Flinders is on loan to the Bairns from Crystal Palace, but the agreement comes to an end after Falkirk's home meeting with Kilmarnock on January 3. But the 22 year old is disappointed that, with days left before his loan deal is due to expire, he has heard nothing from the Bairns manager.

Flinders said: "I've had no contact from the chairman, no contact from the manager, so it looks like they're not willing to extend the loan. I've been kept in the dark really, which is a shame, but that's football.

"I thought I might be staying on, but the manager has not spoken to me. It's a bit disappointing. Being just a week away from January I thought I'd get told before, but apparently not. I don't know where I stand.

"I'd read the manager was in negotiations to extend the loan with Palace, but nothing has been said. I hope to have a word with him in the next week. Hopefully, things might get sorted, but if not I'll go back to London and start again."
