Radamel Falcao has been handed Chelsea's number 9 shirt ahead of the 2015/16 Premier League season.
The Colombian striker, who has joined the reigning English champions on a season-long from Monaco, will replace Fernando Torres as the west London club's new number nine.
Falcao, who spent last season on loan with Manchester United, will follow the likes of Gianluca Vialli, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink and Hernan Crespo as players to wear the number 9 at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League era.
Additionally, fellow new signing Asmir Begovic will wear the number 1 shirt as a direct replacement for the departed Petr Cech.
The club announced on their official website on Monday: “Radamel Falcao will wear the No 9 shirt during the 2015-16 campaign.
“The Colombian striker, who recently moved to Stamford Bridge on a season-long loan from Monaco, will take the shirt which was last worn by Fernando Torres prior to his departure.
“Our most recent arrival, Asmir Begovic, will take the vacant No.1 shirt, with Thibaut Courtois remaining No 13."
