Cesc Fabregas has revealed he spoke to David Moyes about joining Manchester United.

The former Arsenal midfielder was looking to leave Barcelona in 2014 and eyed a return to England.

He eventually returned with Chelsea and won two Premier League titles, but things could have been different.

Asked during a Q&A on Twitter how close he came to completing a transfer to the Theatre of Dreams, Fabregas replied: "I wouldn't say close but I did talk to David Moyes a couple of times."
