Liverpool midfielder Fabinho insists he never panicked over the slow start to his Anfield career.
Fabinho arrived in the summer from AS Monaco.
He told L'Equipe: "I was in a new club, with a new coach, a new style of play, and I realised that I had to be patient. The staff encouraged me to work and not to let go.
"When the coach felt I was ready, he gave me a chance. Today, I'm part of the rotation and I'm happy with the situation. Liverpool is a huge club that is going through a great phase, so no, I have not regretted my choice."
On choosing Liverpool, Fabinho added: "When it comes to making such an important decision, I ask for God's help. We met with my wife to pray and I ask my friends to do it too ... I knew it would be my last season in Monaco, and Liverpool was one of the contenders. Before the end of the season, I chatted with Klopp and club members. I inquired, listening also to other proposals. But Liverpool was quickly the main candidate in my mind and I signed right after the Champions League final."
