Kyle Naughton will serve a two-match suspension after the Football Association rejected Tottenham's red card appeal.
The defender was sent off in the 85th minute of his side's 2-1 home loss to Stoke City on Sunday for bringing down Victor Moses.
Referee Mike Jones deemed the foul to be worthy of a red card but Spurs officials felt they could get the 25-year old off his sanction but an Independent Regulatory Commission hearing upheld the original decision meaning Naughton will miss the November 23 meeting with Hull City and the Everton clash the weekend after.
