FA to introduce BAME laws into English football

The English FA are taking steps to introduce more "BAME" coaches into the English game. BAME stands for Black and Ethnic Minority coaches.

The FA are hoping that the requirement of having at least one ethnic minority coach on the staff at every level of English football will help create more opportunities for such coaches.

There are a total of 28 national teams within the English football structure – ranging from the men's to women's game and many youth levels.

Current stats show that out of the 92 Premier League and Football League clubs, only eight manages fall under the BAME classification.

It is an interesting development, and one that is sure to stir up some controversy. While some are a fan of the move, others believe that adding artificial quotas is not the right way to integrate more BAME coaches into the game.
