The English FA are ready to offer a new deal to England U21 coach Gareth Southgate.
The Daily Mail says Southgate, who led England's Under 21s to Euro 2015 with a stylish 4-2 aggregate win over Croatia on Tuesday, agreed a three-year deal when he succeeded Stuart Pearce last August. The FA have already opened talks with Southgate and would have done so even if the Under 21s had lost in Croatia.
They are thrilled with work he has overseen since coming in and will look to renew and improve his current £400,000 per year terms to 2017 at the very least.
