The FA insist their opinion on England coach Fabio Capello remains unchanged.
Odds have been slashed on Capello being sacked before the end of the World Cup.
When asked about whether Capello would remain as manager if England failed to progress from the group stage, managing director of Club England Adrian Bevington told BBC Radio Five Live's Sportsweek programme: "Fabio was given a contract until 2012 and nothing has changed in that respect.
"Our position was very clear when we dealt with this three or four weeks ago. Nothing has changed as far as we are concerned.
"All we are concentrating on is getting a win on Wednesday and trying to get through to the next round."
