The FA are happy for England coach Fabio Capello to select Newcastle United striker Andy Carroll.
Capello wanted Carroll in his England squad for the friendly against France at Wembley next Wednesday.
But the Italian was aware his FA bosses might object over Carroll's off-field misdemeanours.
Capello, though, has been told he is free to select the Toon hitman - who could now start against Les Bleus.
