FA Cup in jeopardy over coronavirus outbreak

The FA Cup could be a serious casualty of the coronavirus situation in the United Kingdom.

Premier League games, along with most European football, is on hold due to the coronavirus pandemic.

With several footballers and Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta testing positive, the league is on hold until at least April 3rd.

And theMirror suggests the FA Cup may be the one competition that gets sacrificed to ensure games are completed to finish the season.

Playing behind closed doors is an option, but if there is even a single player or staff at a club positive for the virus, those teams would not be able to play games.

It means getting play resumed in early or mid April seems nearly impossible, and the relevant authorities are attempting to find the best solution to finishing this season and then having next season go ahead as well.
