FA CUP 3rd ROUND REPLAYS: Bolton eliminate Sunderland, Stoke edge Palace and QPR get better of West Brom

Nine FA Cup third round replays took place around England tonight with three of the fixtures requiring extra-time to decide a result.

Premier League clubs involved included Sunderland, QPR, West Bromwich Albion, Fulham, Wigan Athletic and Stoke City with four of the six making it through to the fourth round.

The Black Cats were beaten 2-0 at home by Bolton thanks to a second-half double from Marvin Sordell whilst QPR managed to progress courtesy of a 1-0 victory at West Brom thanks to a 75th minute Jay Bothroyd effort.

The Latics made hard work of their 1-0 triumph at League One Bournemouth whilst the Cottagers have Kierna Richardson and Brede Hangeland to thank as they netted very late goals to beat Blackpool 2-1 at the end of extra-time.

In other games, Leeds United came from behind to beat Championship rivals Birmingham City 2-1 at St Andrew's, League OneBrentford set up a glamour home meeting with Chelsea after beating Southend United 2-1 and MK Dons got the better of Sheffield Wednesday with a 2-0 home result.

Hull City edged Leyton Orient 2-1 after extra-time as Stoke City powered past Crystal Palace in added time to eventually win 4-1 courtesy of a Jon Walters double.

Tomorrow night sees Arsenal host Swansea City as West Ham United head to Old Trafford to take on Manchester United.
