The Football Association have condemned the behavior of an England fan yesterday.

A supporter in Naples was pictured with a flag that included a derogatory message towards Argentina legend Diego Maradona.

The late former World Cup winner, who scored the famous “hand of God" goal against England, passed away in November 2020.

An England fan was seen to have a national flag that included the message “Diego's in a box."

The FA have now issued a brief statement: “We strongly condemn the actions of the individual who traveled to Naples with a flag that had a highly offensive message on it.

“We immediately took steps to have their tickets canceled before the match. The matter will be reviewed further when we return to England."
