FA chief Les Reed is happy seeing Kieran Trippier with Atletico Madrid.
The England fullback left Tottenham for Atletico this summer.
Reed said, “I think if we're successful, like when Gary Lineker went to Barcelona and when we're doing really well, we exported players and exported coaches and it's starting to come around again which I think can only be a good thing for the game.
"Kieran would be a great example of a player who has made that decision, I think players in the past might've had the opportunity but were reluctant to travel.
“The young ones have led the way in that but someone like Kieran going just might get English players thinking. For us it can only be good that they're experiencing a different style, a different type of football, at top clubs in good leagues."
