Tottenham are in pursuit of former midfielder Christian Eriksen from Inter Milan.
However, any transfer to bring the Dane back to London will not be easy.
That is the view of European transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
The Italian spoke with Sky Sports News about several possible deals, including Eriksen going back to Spurs.
Romano said: "Christian Eriksen wants to leave Inter. He would love to be back in the Premier League and in particular with Tottenham. Obviously, he had a fantastic time with Tottenham so he would love to be back at Spurs, but at the moment it is not so easy because of his wages.
"Inter are asking Tottenham to pay a fee for his loan if he joins, just because they paid 20 million euros one year ago to sign him when his contract was going to expire in six months.
"I am sure they will try in the coming days but at the moment the situation is not so easy, and also other clubs from the Premier League are talking with people around the player."
