Exclusive: Sogut eases Arsenal, Barcelona rumours for Akturkoglu 'He can reach Salah or De Bruyne level'

Agent Erkut Sogut is convinced Galatasaray winger Kerem Akturkoglu can emerge as one Europe's most exciting young talents.

The 24 year-old is now in his third year with Gala and has been linked with some of the biggest clubs in the game. Arsenal have been long-term suitors of Akturkoglu, with Tottenham also monitoring his progress.

And in Turkey, it's been revealed along with the North London pair, Barcelona, Atletico Madrid and Olympique Lyon have all had scouts regularly posted to keep tabs on the attacker's progress, according to the Daily Sabah.

For Sogut, there's little doubt Akturkoglu will eventually land a big move away from Turkey. Though for now, there's no plans to agitate for a transfer from their.

“Kerem is a player who develops every day," Sogut told Tribalfootball.com. "He's a very interesting player who as a agent I enjoy working with.

"He has a mentality of 'I need to get better every day and to improve' and I like this thing from him. And you can see he improves every day.

"I can see him like a Mo Salah or Kevin De Bruyne, he gets better and better and better. Kerem is a similar kind of player. He develops every year, and I think he can play in any league in the world, he adapts very quickly."

Interestingly, Sogut reveals Akturkoglu already speaks English and has an attitude that will serve him well, wherever he goes next.

"He is someone who wants to learn. He listens. He speaks English already. I don't think it will be a problem for Kerem because he is a winger, he is very smart, he is a fighter and I think he can play anywhere (in Europe)."

However, despite all the speculation, Sogut insists none of it has turned Akturkoglu's head. Instead, his focus remains on Gala.

He added, "He just focuses on his next game.

"We have the same mentality, we work and focus on the progress and what will come will come. He is a type of player who he doesn't get excited about going to this club or that club, but he is excited on getting better and working more and more."

As for any direct contact with interested clubs, Sogut insisted: “To be honest there is no update to offer. If there was, I would say it to you, but for the moment no.

"He has a long contract until 2026 so there is nothing to talk about."
