Exclusive: Massimo Donati explains what makes Chelsea midfielder Jorginho special

Massimo Donati is a fan of Chelsea holding midfielder Jorginho.

The Italy international has divided opinion at times since moving to Stamford Bridge from Napoli in 2018.

Jorginho was brought to London by his former boss in Naples, Maurizio Sarri, and soon typified the former banker's rigid tactical system.

Sarri's successor, Frank Lampard, seemingly couldn't make up his mind about the 29-year-old.

Jorginho has continued to be linked with a move back to Italy, with Juventus and Napoli reportedly interested.

But life under Thomas Tuchel has begun swimmingly for the former Verona man.

And former AC Milan and Italy U21 star Massimo Donati has heaped praise on the resolute midfielder.

"Jorginho is always the same," Donati tells Tribalfootball.com. "Great personality and great game vision.

"He imposed himself at Verona, Naples and Chelsea above all because he has a strong personality and also because he always manages to do simple things in the best way.

"In that position on the pitch this is fundamental."

Jorginho's outspoken agent, Joao Santos, stated this week that his client was happy playing under Tuchel.

But Santos did not rule out an eventual return to Italy.

"There are many rumours about that because he did so well at Napoli," Santos told Naples-based station Radio Marte.

"It's a special moment for him. He is an important player for Chelsea now. However, he is an Italy international, and we are thinking about a return to Serie A if he leaves the Blues.

"If Napoli will make an offer, we'll evaluate it. He had a great time in Naples, and he has many friends over there."

Originally from Brazil, Jorinho has scored 16 goals in 127 appearances for Chelsea.
