David Trezeguet firmly believes that Gianluigi Buffon and Giorgio Chellini will keep flying the flag for Juventus as long as the club continues winning.

Bianconeri legend Trezeguet played with both 38-year-old goalkeeper Buffon and 31-year-old centre-back Chiellini during his successful decade-long spell with the Turin giants so is well-versed to pass judgement on the evergreen pair.

Buffon has been a Juve player since joining from Parma in 2001 and has been the cornerstone of seven Serie A titles, a Serie B championship, two Coppa Italias and two runners-up in the Champions League.

Chiellini arrived from Fiorentina in 2005 and has tasted success in the league five times while being a part of almost the exact same successes as his more storied colleague.

According to club ambassador Trezeguet, this trend is set to endure with the Italy internationals ramping up for yet another campaign with the Old Lady of Turin.

“We are talking about two of the great players," he told Tribalfootball.

“Their commitment and their will to continue winning is the key.

“In some ways I'm not surprised because they are well aware of what it takes to keep on winning.

“They are unique players who are always working on their body, on their preparation, and that's what they do (for success).

“They will keep on playing as long as the keep on winning."

Juventus are in Melbourne for the Australian leg of the 2016 International Champions Cup, proudly presented by Audi.

The Bianconeri take on A-League giants Melbourne Victory at the MCG on Saturday night before meeting Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur at the iconic Melbourne venue next Tuesday.
