Exclusive: Ex-Fiorentina star Amoroso talks Bernardeschi, Messi & Lautaro

Former Fiorentina midfielder Christian Amoroso believes Federico Bernardeschi should leave Juventus this summer.

The talented winger came through the ranks at Fiorentina and made 93 appearances for the first-team.

His talents were scouted by league rivals Juventus and a €40m transfer was eventually agreed upon in July 2017.

But despite his obvious potential, the 26-year-old hasn't delivered on a regular basis with just 10 goals in 108 appearances for Juve.

Calciomercato claimed this week that Juve were open to selling the Italy international, with Manchester United, Barcelona and Roma touted as potential suitors.

Asked by Tribalfootball.com about Bernardeschi's situation, Amoroso said: "He should go where he can be more important than at Juventus."

A player who could be coming the other way to Italy is Lionel Messi.

Juve and Inter Milan have been linked with the Argentine superstar, who has asked to leave Barcelona.

Quizzed on the possibility of Messi joining Serie A, Amoroso added: "It seems strange to me, but after Ronaldo never say never."

Lautaro Martinez has been linked with a move to Barca, but Amoroso says he "hopes he stays" at Inter.
