EXCLUSIVE: Agent Lippi says Conte unsurprised by Chelsea sack talk - 'he was there when Dad axed!'

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte isn't surprised by persistent speculation over his job this season.

While he has complained about the reporting in England about his position, despite last season's title success, agent Davide Lippi says privately Conte won't be fussed.

Lippi, the son of former Juventus and current China coach Marcello Lippi, says the pressure on Conte is no surprise.

He told Tribalfootball.com: "Not at all, because that is the way football goes. One year arrives the title, the following year you could be sacked and it is normal if you keep struggling. The history of football says so.

"My father, Marcello Lippi, was sacked after four years for a loss against Parma in December! Antonio Conte was the captain of that team. It doesn't surprise me. Anyway, there's something abnormal with the team and this is clear from you journalists. We can get a sense of the tension between the ownership and Antonio.

"He won the title last year, there's nothing you can complain about. Maybe the market situation caused a tension between Conte and the ownership, then these issues come out...

"We will see what happens at the end of the season."
