Former Wigan Athletic and Bradford City boss Paul Jewell is in the frame for Darlington job.

The Mirror says the Quakers parted company with Colin Todd by mutual consent after they picked up only their second point of the season at Grimsby - and have put former Wigan, Bradford and Derby boss Jewell, 44, top of their wish-list.

Ambitious Darlo chairman Raj Singh is keen to sound out Jewell, and Sheffield United player-coach Gary Speed - who turned down Swansea in the summer - is believed to be another prime target.
