Ex-West Ham winger Sinclair: Rice now worth more than Kane

Former West Ham winger Trevor Sinclair rates Declan Rice ahead of Tottenham striker Harry Kane.

Sinclar believes that Rice's value is now superior to Kane - while their respective price tags aren't reflective of their current ability.

When asked about the pair on talkSPORT, Sinclair said: “It's a tough one. I think West Ham were talking about £100 for Rice over the summer. I think he's enriched his performances this season so much that he'll be worth than he was last summer.

“He's been outstanding. I watched him last week against Doucoure who had run Man United ragged at Old Trafford, and Doucoure could not get anywhere near Declan Rice.

"It was one of the most thorough performances I've seen for a long time, against Everton. So I would probably edge towards Declan.

“He's a baby, 22 years, old, a captain of West Ham, and so valuable to the club at the moment. And if you look at Harry Kane, I know he scored his first Premier League goal last week but in general, he's not been on it and I always thought he was worth too much money when they started to quote £125millllion-£150milllion anyway, so I would go with Declan Rice."
