Former West Ham defender Tomas Repka has been sentenced to 15 months in jail after being convicted of fraud in Czech Republic.
A court in Prague heard how Repka sold a luxury car to a woman, despite renting it rather than owning it, reports the Mirror.
He signed a deal promising to return to money if the ownership was not transferred but failed to do so.
The former defender's lawyer and the state prosecutor have appealed the decision.
Repka spent five years with West Ham and also had spells with Sparta Prague and Fiorentina.
