Former West Bromwich Albion boss Gary Megson has spoken of his frustration at failing to land a managerial role in time for the new season.
Megson, who has also had spells in charge at Norwich, Blackpool, Stockport and Stoke, has revealed that he believes outside influences are ruining his chances of returning to a management hot-seat.
"I have been made aware by one chairman I spoke to that an ex-employer of mine is making it very difficult for me to get back into work," said the 48 year old.
"I have been going for jobs and it's disappointing to be out of management for this long.
"I find it strange because I think I've probably got as good a record as anybody out there in the Championship, and I'm being told by clubs that my CV is the best they have received."
