Former Watford manager Javi Gracia is being linked with Valencia.

After Albert Celades' sacking in June, Voro has taken on the role on a caretaker basis until the end of the season.

Marca says Gracia has recently held talks with the club and is their preferred choice to fill the vacancy.

The Spaniard has been without a job since being sacked by Watford at the start of the 2019/20 season.

His work at Vicarage Road during the previous campaign, in which he led the club to an FA Cup final, is valued particularly highly at Mestalla.

Valencia also view Gracia's experience of working under Abdullah bin Nasser Al Thani at Malaga in a positive light.
