Former Watford manager Javi Gracia has turned down the chance to manage Espanyol.
A report from Grada 3 in Spain suggests that Gracia was offered the chance to return to management in La Liga.
But he rejected the chance to join Espnayol after his representatives turned down the club's advances.
Gracia was sacked by Watford after four games into the Premier League season, due to a poor run of form that included the tail end of last season.
He was replaced by another Spaniard, Quique Sanchez Flores.
