Aston Villa's first and only foreign manager Jozef Venglos has backed the impending appointment of Frenchman Gerard Houllier.
The former Liverpool boss is being touted as the man to take over at Villa Park and Venglos, who had a stint there in 1990/91, believes he would be a great person to take the reins.
"I'm sure that Aston Villa and Gerard Houllier are right for each other," the Czech said.
"It is a very good, well-run football club and Gerard is an excellent, experienced coach.
"He has great contacts and has shown his qualities in different countries. I think he will do a good job."
