Ex-USA defender Llamosa fired by Chivas USA

Soccer By Ives has reported that Chivas USA have sacked assistant coach Carlo Llamosa.

The 43-year old former USA and DC United defender has been fired ahead of the 2013 MLS season after expecting to work under new head coach Jose Luiz Sanchez Sola.

Llamosa has spent the past four seasons with the Goats but now makes way following the appointment of Denis te Kloese as the clubs new sporting director a fortnight ago. He had been overseeing Chivas' preparations for the upcoming 2013 MLS SuperDraft which takes placed on January 7.
