Ex-Tottenham boss Sherwood: Titles imminent for Poch's men

Former Tottenham manager Tim Sherwood believes his old club are still on the right track, despite going out 4-3 to Juventus on aggregate in the Champions League round of 16.

Spurs were in the driving seat following a 2-2 in Turin, and they were 1-0 up in this tie as well.

However, two goals after the 60th minute from Juventus sealed the game. Spurs did hit the post through Harry Kane late in the game, but they were second best by the end of the game.

"Tottenham are on their way to winning something," Sherwood said on talkSPORT.

"They're progressing every year and I think they've got the squad to challenge for the Premier League and the Champions League.

"They beat Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund this season and they came very close to knocking out Juventus.

"Now they have to dust themselves down, don't take it too hard and try and win some silverware – I think they've got a real chance in the FA Cup this season.

"If they do win it, they will get that belief which will stand them in good stead in any competition going forward."
