Ex-Sunderland striker Asoro: I should be doing better for Djurgårdens

Joel Asoro admits he's unhappy with his first season at Djurgårdens IF.

The former Sunderland prospect, now 22, left Swansea City for DIF over the summer.

He told Sportbladet: "I'm actually not happy. It's hard to explain. But I have not been able to contribute what I wanted. I've got some playing time, which is fun. But I'm not happy with the season. I know better. It is good that the team did well.

"There is always so much speculation. Try not to play football for a year and then suddenly try to come back? People think you should solve it right away. It does not work that way. My self-confidence is like that.

"It's not just about the body. Because if you have no self-confidence, nothing works."
