Former Stoke City midfielder Lewis Neal has signed with DC United it has been confirmed.
The 30-year old Englishman joins the Washington club after spending the 2011 season with USL Pro champions Orlando City before having an impressive trial with United.
Neal will bring plenty of experience to the DC squad with general manager Dave Kasper excited about his arrival.
"Lewis will provide us solid cover for us at a number of positions," said Kasper. "We look forward to his future contributions to the club."
Neal kicked off his career with the Potters in 2000 and has since played for the likes of Preston North End, Carlisle United and Shrewsbury Town.
