Former Stoke City goalkeeper Thomas Sorensen is set to continue his career in Australia.

BT says the Dane has settled on a two-year contract with Melbourne City and the agreement will be formally announced in the next fortnight.

Sorensen has spent the summer on a charity bike ride in the US, but intends to play on after leaving Stoke at the end of last season.

Melbourne City are partly owned by Manchester City.
