Tony Pulis jokes that he does not want to give any credit to Port Vale for their League Cup performance against West Bromwich Albion due to his previous associations with Stoke City.
Port Vale put in a valiant effort against Premier League side Albion in the Capital One Cup clash on Tuesday night but the minnows eventually lost out on penalties following a scoreless draw.
Following the game, the Valiants were lauded by many but West Brom manager Pulis joked that he does not want to give the League One side any credit for their effort.
Pulis said: "I don't want to give Vale any credit at all! I worked a Stoke for 10 years and I will not give Port Vale any credit.
"No, they played exceptionally well and worked hard and Pagey (Rob Page) and Paul (Bodin) will be very pleased with them."
