Former Tottenham striker Roman Pavlyuchenko admits he didn't believe Harry Kane would make it in the game as a youth teamer.
Pavlyuchenko was still with Spurs as Kane was breaking through - and was unimpressed.
He recalled to Okko Sports: "He was nothing, a zero. Harry played in the second team. I remember that he and I played in the Europa League against Rubin and some other games. And so he only trained. I looked at him and thought: 'How can you even play soccer?' Neither give nor receive, some kind of slow, slow, how are you going to play football at all?
"But you see how a man improved. Season two and then he started to score 20. Then I looked and thought: 'Is it really him?' And now I'm looking at Kane - this is the captain of the team.
"For me, the indicator is goals scored, as for the striker. If Kane scored 20, and even more, he is an outstanding football player, a legend."
