Ex-Spurs keeper Thorstvedt: Why Brentford great move for Ajer...

Former Tottenham goalkeeper Erik Thorstvedt is happy seeing Kris Ajer at Brentford.

The Norway defender left Celtic for the Premier League new-boys this summer and is set to make his competitive Bees debut tonight against Arsenal.

"If you are bought by Brentford, they have done their homework. The club is deeply driven by analysis. This purchase is not made on impulse. There must be reassurance for Kristoffer as well," says Thorstvedt to VG.

"When they first pick him up, you also know how they will make the best use of him and make him even better.

"It is a step up for him, and he may know it in the first few matches. He has the potential to step up. Ideally, he does it from game one, but we should not be worried if it stalls a little in the beginning

"I think it is a very good thing to end up in that club. They have resources and wise, good people in management. I think it is a huge transfer."
