Ex-Spurs defender Dawson: Klich, James, Harrison not good enough in Leeds defeat

Former Tottenham defender Michael Dawson says Leeds United can have no complaints after defeat at Southampton.

Armando Broja struck his maiden Premier League goal as Southampton picked up an overdue first win of the season by deservedly beating Leeds 1-0 on the south coast.

Dawson told Soccer Saturday: "It could have been more. Without having too many clear-cut chances, Southampton dominated that game from minute one with 19 attempts.

"Leeds just weren't at the races, but I was really impressed by Southampton – Diallo and Romeu in the middle of the park.

"Leeds just didn't get after them it was the opposite way around, Southampton just hounded them all over the park and they couldn't get out.

"Klich, Harrison and James, James was disappointing.

Broja was just brilliant, he caused the back three of Llorente, Struijk and Cooper trouble all afternoon and after watching Leeds two weeks ago, against Watford, the table just turned.

"They were in charge of that game, today they were so, so, so disappointing, I couldn't believe what I was seeing.

"Yes, when you have no Phillips, Luke Ayling, Raphinha, Bamford, four of your best players out, but you look at that team and that squad and it was concerning today."
