Former Tottenham boss Tim Sherwood has questioned the reputation of Christian Eriksen.

The Dane is being linked with Real Madrid this month.

But comparing Eriksen with Manchester City attacker Kevin de Bruyne, Sherwood says: "We talked about Eriksen before the match and how important he is to Tottenham, and we think he is a world-class player, if we talk about world-class he is nowhere near that guy's level.

"This guy Kevin de Bruyne is top, he can play anywhere he wants in the world, right now he is the most valuable player for Manchester City. He shows up everywhere. He is so important to that team."
