Former Tottenham boss Juande Ramos believes Harry Kane will be key in the Champions League final against Liverpool.

Ramos was the last manager to win silverware for Spurs.

Ramos, who lifted the League Cup in 2008, said: "Both clubs know each other very well and they are very evenly matched.

"They will match each other for desire to win it too so it will come down to details. I don't if Harry Kane is going to be fit but he is a trump card for Tottenham."

Ramos is not surprised by the return of English teams to the summit of European club football. He told Radio Marca: "The broadcast rights are sold for huge amounts of money and the potential has grown from there.

"Teams are earning as much as Real Madrid and Barcelona in Spain. They have bought in the best players and coaches from abroad."
