Ex-Sporting CP star Kutuzov: Ronaldo was always asking about AC Milan

Former Sporting CP star Vitali Kutuzov has spoken of sharing a dressing room with Juventus star Cristian Ronaldo.

Kutuzov was close to the then teenage Ronaldo and was on the pitch when he made his debut for Sporting and also scored his first professional goals.

He told AS: "I did not think he was going to write the history of football, how could I?

"He was too young, I immediately perceived that he had speed and special technique, but when he went to Manchester United with (Sir Alex) Ferguson and I saw him play, 'my mother, how strong he has become'. And he has improved a lot since then."

Kutuzov admits Ronaldo was a big fan of AC Milan at the time.

He revealed: "When we shared a room we spoke in Portuguese, Cristiano knew that I came from Milan and he asked me a thousand questions, in those days wearing the Rossoneri shirt was the best.

"He asked me about Maldini, Costacurta, Inzaghi and Shevchenko. Milanello's sports centre, at that time at the forefront of the world, he wanted to know how the team's champions trained and how they progressed physically."
