Former Southampton boss Mauricio Pellegrino has asked for more time to consider an offer from Leganes.

Pellegrino met with Leganes directors yesterday to discuss the vacant coaching position.

Leganes chiefs Txema Indias and Felipe Moreno Pavón held lengthy talks with Pellegrino yesterday where the Argentine did not give a clear agreement either way. Instead, he's asked for more time to consider the proposal.

Leganes are prepared to wait, though do have Numancia coach Jagoba Arrasate under consideration as an alternative.
