Ex-Rubin Kazan coach Bilyaletdinov upset for Abramovich: Chelsea seizure so arbitrary

Former Rubin Kazan coach Rinat Bilyaletdinov feels for Roman Abramovich after Chelsea was seized by the UK government last week.

Abramovich has also been disqualified as a Chelsea director following Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

Bilyaletdinov told Sport-Express: "This is arbitrary. I don't know on what basis this suspension took place, but it is clear that now they are being strangled from all sides.

"And who are the judges? The true attitude towards Abramovich is manifested in such moments. And not only to him, but to everyone: you give us finances, and at the right time we will take everything from you, you go through the forest.

"Well, at least the Galitsky Academy is located on the territory of Russia - they won't take it away.

"What happened to Abramovich is pure robbery. They just came up, took it away and said 'Goodbye, go'.

"They decided so, which means that in their legal field this is the norm. But it needs to be challenged somehow, defended. Giving the club so much energy, time, health and nerves and get this in return? Punish everyone en masse? This was your suit, our suit it has become. We will support Roman Abramovich, I've only words of sympathy."
