Former AS Roma coach Vincenzo Montella is delighted with his move to Catania.
Montella is preparing for his first full Serie A season at the helm of the Stadio Massimino outfit.
"I thank the President and directors for this opportunity and believe I was given this chance because I'm the right man for the job," declared L'Aeroplanino.
"I will try to learn the habits of the city as soon as possible, because that too can help a new manager. I've always been good at settling into a new environment.
"I like a team that plays football, trains with the utmost intensity regardless of experience and step on to the field focusing on its own tactics rather than those of the opposition.
"Catania is an important step in my career. I must prove that I am worthy of this job before even thinking about other objectives. I accepted this position with great enthusiasm and think we can really do a lot together.
"At the same time, I am sure that I have a club behind me with solid ideas, so will not promise something we cannot maintain."
