Former Real Sociedad coach Martin Lasarte has urged Antoine Griezmann to stay with Atletico Madrid.

Lasarte gave Griezmann his La Real debut and is aware of the Barcelona rumours surrounding his former protege.

Atletico legend Paulo Futre has urged Griezmann to stay and Lasarte agrees.

"I would try to listen to him, but sometimes it's better to be the main figure in one team than the just an assistant in another," he said.

Futre stated last week: "If he goes to Barcelona, very well, he is a professional, but he will only be one more. If he stays at Atleti he will be remembered forever."
