Former Real Madrid GM Jorge Valdano admits he'd like to see Erling Haaland at the Spanish giants.

Haaland has kicked off his career with Manchester City in sensational fashion.

Valdano told Radio Marca: "He is my favourite toy at the moment, there is no game in which he fails. In football there are debatable issues such as the game, but the goals are not debatable and he never fails.

"He is a cyclone within a game and I would have really liked to see him in the Real Madrid shirt."

On Karim Benzema, the World Cup winner also said: "There is no other name for the Ballon d'Or after an extraordinary season. Football of exceptional quality and he has added goals and leadership to it. He who is intelligent evolves in all aspects and he is the best example."
