Former Real Madrid coach John Toshack has made a plea to Gareth Bale.

Toshack has urged Bale to hold a media conference and speak to Real fans about his situation.

He said, "Gareth, go out and give an interview. You speak. You have been there for six or seven years and he does not speak the language. It is an insult to the people you work with.

"He has been important for Real Madrid but it is a shame that he has not fit better in the country and with the fans he is with every weekend.

"Gareth, come on ... Take a little more time and learn the language."
