Former Real Madrid chief Pedja Mijatovic says Gareth Bale should be dropped for tonight's Copa del Rey semi first-leg against Barcelona.

Mijatovic believes Lucas Vazquez should be selected ahead of the Welshman.

He explained, "(Vazquez) plays safe and will defend against Jordi Alba, he comes down and helps a lot on the left.

"Vinicius is playing well and Bale has his difficulties, if he plays Bale it's the last chance he has, we're all p***ed off with his game.

"Vinicius delights and plays better at the Bernabéu."
