Former Real Madrid sports chief Pedja Mijatovic has taken a new swipe at Gareth Bale.

Mijatovic has described Bale as "very rare".

He explained: "I think Bale is a very particular boy. I don't know him personally, but from the statements that I have read from him, I draw the conclusion that he is very particular, not to say very rare. But to have a boy like that, it tells me that he is not integrated and that he has more important occupations than his team and his own club ... He thinks first of the squad of Wales, then golf and then thinks of Madrid.

"I have not talked to him, but it is what he transmits to me. You never know if you can count on him, if he is motivated or not, if he is injured or not ... but you will see how he will improve when the internationals approach.

"This summer Madrid already wanted to sell him, but no solutions were found. You have to make a decision, but you don't know where to start things. Now you don't know who to talk to.

"He also has three years of contract and that makes things more complicated."
