Ex-Rangers, Newcastle defender Moore back at Brisbane Roar

Craig Moore has returned to A-League club Brisbane Roar in a key administration role.

The 39-year old former defender has been appointed as the Roar's Football Operations Manager where he will work alongside newly-appointed head coach John Aloisi.

The former Rangers, Crystal Palace, Newcastle United and Roar defender will add plenty of experienced and expertise to the Queensland club's backroom according to Aloisi.

"Craig has a wealth of experience in football and a first-hand understanding of what it means to play for the Roar," Aloisi said.

"He will work closely with me as Football Operations Manager.

"His football knowledge and his love for the club will be invaluable as we transition to a new era and rebuild the Roar to challenge for honours again."

Two-time World Cup veteran Moore recently worked with the Australian national team in a mentoring and support role under the guidance of former Roar boss Ange Postecoglou.
