DaMarcus Beasley has announced his retirement from international soccer.
The 32-year old veteran has called time on his USA career after almost 13 years and 121 appearances with the senior team.
Former PSV Eindhoven, Manchester City, Rangers, Hannover and Puebla winger/left-back Beasley ends his playing days with the US as the only American to play in four World Cups (2002, 2006, 2010 and 2014).
"Where do I start? Honestly I never thought this day would come, representing my country has been the greatest thing I've done in my career," Beasley wrote on his Instagram account.
"Every time I've pulled on our colors I tried to represent myself, my family and my country with the utmost respect.(and obviously tried to win).
"With that being said, I have officially retired from the U.S. Nat'l team. I've been blessed to be a part of the United States Soccer Federation family for 17 yrs."
Beasley finishes his time with the US as the fifth-highest games player in history having helped the country take out four CONCACAF Gold Cups in 2002, 2005, 2007 and 2013.
However, Beasley is planning to play on in MLS next season with Houston Dynamo who he joined as a Designated Player in July this year.
