Former PSG attacker Adil Aouchiche admits the sacking of Thomas Tuchel shocked him.

Tuchel was dumped by PSG on Christmas Eve last season ahead of taking charge of Chelsea.

Aouchiche, now with St Etienne, told Le Parisien: "I was a little surprised, because he did great things at PSG, he took the team to the (Champions League) final, had narrowly missed the victory…

"But we know how football works…

"He shows today with Chelsea that he is a great coach, I'm happy for him."
